Marx O Scale Model Trains
Marx model trains were first built in 1934 when Louis Marx and Company purchased a factory that specializes in model trains. Louis Marx and Company was established in 1919 and was the most popular toy company in the country during the 1950s. Their toys were known to be durable and of high quality while being cheaper compared to other products. The company folded in 1978 after experiencing financial difficulties. Today, their model train molds are being used by K-Line which manufacturers O Scale model trains and accessories. By using their molds, the design and make-up of the original trains are preserved.
The Marx O Scale Model Trains were one of the early trains built by Marx. The O Scale type was already an established model and with the popularity of Marx products during the 1950s their trains were easily sold by millions. Another reason their trains were very popular because of their competitive price that almost everyone could purchase their products.
